| A: Absolutely. There is no official “Dress Code” and the only restrictions in the convention area is that there is no full nudity. Men must have genitals covered and women must have nipples and genitals covered. Since this is not a “hotel takeover”, there are usually other “non DomCon” guests in the hotel, so the basic rule of thumb is to dress “family friendly” in the hotel common areas. |
| A: You must be 18 or older with a valid government issue ID to attend DomCon. You will be asked to show it at the DomCon Registration Booth when you check in. |
| A: Yes, you are required to show a valid photo ID at the DomCon Registration Booth when you check in. This is to verify the name you put on the waiver is your correct legal name. All information is stored with AES 256 Bit Encryption. |
| A: No, you can have whatever name you prefer on your badge. Many people have a “professional” name or “scene” name that they are known by and prefer to have that as their badge name. But your badge name must not intentionally impersonate another person or a name that is considered offensive. |
| A: Yes, we allow media and we welcome professional and respectable media coverage. We do have guidelines on who and what can be photographed and when. Please see our Press Info section here on the web site for more information. |
| A: You can register to attend DomCon at the DomCon Registration Booth on site at the hotel when you arrive. However, you will save money by pre-registering as the tickets at the door the day of the event are generally higher. |
| A: Probably not. The hotel only guarantees the rate through a specific date, usually about three (3) weeks prior to the event. After that date, it is the hotel’s option to honor the special rate or charge the prevailing rate, which could be substantially higher. We recommend you reserve your room ahead of time. |
| A: Actually, yes there is. For one thing, if you book your room through a third party such as expedia, priceline, etc, neither DomCon nor the hotel can help you if you are unhappy with your room, you will have to deal with the web site in which you bought the room. In addition to that, you are not able to cancel your room reservation in the event that something comes up and you cannot make it. Also, by booking inside the room block, you have a better chance at being placed near other DomCon attendees, and it helps DomCon keep the costs down when more hotel rooms are booked in the block. |

A: Photographers may shoot the stage performances that take place throughout the day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you would like to shoot anywhere else in the Exhibit Hall, you must first ask for permission from the person or booth you would like to shoot. We do not permit photography at the socials, parties, or workshops without prior approval, and we do not permit indiscriminate photography on the exhibit floor. If in doubt as to what you are allowed to shoot, ask! |
